Do I need an account?
No. You can read for free without signing in, and the books you add are saved right in this browser. Signing in and upgrading to Pro backs your library up to your own Google Drive and syncs it across devices.
Where are my books stored?
By default, in this browser on your device. With Pro they also save to your own Google Drive, inside a visible ReadHere folder. It uses the drive.file scope, so the app only touches the files it creates and never sees the rest of your Drive.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free is the full reader on one device, with unlimited books, offline access, highlights, notes, journal, and themes. Pro ($10 a year) adds Drive backup and sync, so your library and notes follow you to every device and survive clearing your browser.
Can I really read offline?
Yes, on both tiers. When you open a book it caches on your device, so after that it opens instantly and works with no connection at all.
How much is Pro, and how does billing work?
Pro is $10 for one year. It is a one-time payment, not a recurring subscription — nothing auto-renews, and you are never charged again unless you choose to renew. Reading stays free regardless, and your files live in your own Google Drive, yours to keep.
What if Pro is not for me?
Email hello@readhere.app within 7 days of buying Pro and we will refund you in full — no questions. Your books and highlights stay in your own Google Drive either way, so you never lose anything.
